Just an interesting little tidbit

I caught last Sunday's ST game against the Mets with my Dad. Tigers lost 7-6, but it was a good game down to the last inning.

Right as we were leaving Marchant Stadium, my dad gets a wishful thinking kinda grin on his face and tells me, "You know, the year my father turned 50, the Tigers were World Champions" (1968)

My father reached his 50th birthday not a full week ago.
