i guess you could say that robertson had a bad game, but i think its really all trammels fault the tigers lost today. its the lack of "smallball"
sources have informed me there were certain situations where steals, bunts, and other agressive gameplay could have potentially benefited the tigers. it looks like pudge and young have taken things into there own hands reguarding these matters, but trammel really has to stop relying on hitting alone to advance baserunners.
you cant steal first, as they say, but you can cultivate manufactured runs...
a good manager cant make a bad team much better, but a bad manager can make a good team much worse.
