Alright, here we go:

Verlander: wins 20 games and a Cy Young

Dontrelle: nice little year with the pressure off, 14-8, ERA sub 4

Bondo: if healthy, look out. 17-7 3.50 ERA, 200ks

Jones: saves 35+ even though everyone says Zumaya will take his job when he comes back

Zumaya: doesn't pitch in Detroit this season, maybe never will again

Miggy: .315-38-130, MVP candidate

Sheff: misses 30+ games with injury

Maggs: .310-26-127

Grilli: in Toledo by June

Inge: Not in Detroit after the deadline, I don't care how much salary they have to eat. The Dodgers need him desperately

Granderson: back from injury, goes nuts, great year

Guillen: once again, quietly, Tigers' MVP

AL East: Sox

AL Central: Tigers (99-63, by the way)

AL West: Angels

ALWC: Indians

NL East: Mets

NL Central: Brewers

NL West: Diamondbacks

NLWC: Phillies

DS:
Tigers over Angels 3-1
Sox over Indians 3-2
Mets over Brewers 3-0
Phillies over Dbacks 3-1

CS:
Tigers over Sox 4-3
Phillies over Mets 4-3

World Series:
Tigers over Phillies 4-1

So what, I'm a homer.

Welcome back to baseball season!

I was just wondering if anyone is interested in seeing a Game Day post for each of the games (we had them last year), that lists starting players, etc. I would be willing to do this, I just want to know if people are interested, so I don't junk up the comm if no one is interested.

Thoughts? Anyone?

I meant to take more notes, but oh well. This is the first installment of:

Thinking Outside the Boxscore

Cabrera/Inge Factor: Cabrera, obviously the offensive replacement for Inge, was charged with an error on his first opportunity. To his credit, the ball hit by Grudzielanek was bouncing... Cabrera hit a home run in the 5th, and Inge dazzled in center, throwing a strike to home plate to get Mark Teahen.

It took twenty-two minutes for Rod Allen to mention playing in Japan.

I don't remember there being ads on the green backstop doors behind home plate before, but there are now: Motor City casino and hotel.

Verlander led the AL with 19 hit batters last year, and he's off to another great start with his plucking of Grudzielanek.

I had no idea Miss America came from Michigan this year. I actually think she looks much better in a Tigers pullover than a bikini.

Since I already got quite a response to my last post, I thought I'd go ahead and put together a poll to help come to a consensus on what should be done about Game Day Posts!

[Poll #1163734]

If there's anything else, or your comment is too large for the last box, feel free to leave a comment to the post!
