Mid Week Roundup

I have to admit, ashamedly, that I gave up on the Tigers last night after 5 innings and a dreadful start by Bonine. I do not deserve to savor the epic come-from-behind victory as much as everyone else. My apologies.
After the game some major roster transactions were announced.
- UT Brandon Inge recalled
- C Dane Sardinha Designated for Assignment
- SP Eddie Bonine sent to AA Erie
- 1B/DH Jeff Larish Recalled from AAA Toledo
Bonine’s been sent down to give him an opportunity to keep pitching, as the Tigers only need 4 starters ahead of the break.
Will he be back afterwards? If not, who? There are whisperings of Lopez being added to the rotation.
Jeff Larish, his vapid stare, and .200 batting average are back to provide some assistance to the ailing Miggy and inconsistent Sheff. The hope is he can take over defensive duties whilst Miggy does DH duty.
I’m not impressed by him at all. But if he manages to put a couple of hits together in this series, I might just take a second look.
This is a big series against the recently flogged and swept Twins. A series win would be huge.
Eat ‘em up, Tigers!
