In recent weeks especially, Leyland has made some moves that seem absolutely baffling. Tonight's game was another example of that. Sometimes I wasn't sure if Leyland was trying to lose or whether dementia had set in. Santiago beats out a bunt and so you put in Adam Everett as a pinch runner to replace the guy who just beat out a bunt?!! Rodney?! Four innings of Rodney?!

In a way, I'm disappointed with the outcome of the season. But really, I'm not surprised. The Tigers didn't play well enough to deserve the championship.
