7/8 vs. Devil Rays

Well, I went to the game last night in Tampa and had a pretty good time watching our boys win. I didn't get to see Pudge though, I guess that pinky finger is really hurt...We should win tonight too (hopefully). Kazmir (3-6) is their best pitcher but he is still young and learning. That and Nate (3-7) has pitched so well as of late. I hope we can get him some runs so he can finally pick up a win.

im listening to it... Kazmir hit Polanco on the very first pitch. Robertson's first pitch didn't hit the batter, but went BEHIND him. one of the umps immediately ejected Robertson

Robertson is a complete idiot. First pitch, first batter, first inning? Warning or not, Robertson has to know that he can't just go do that. Keep in mind, this wouldn't be the first time the D-Rays got into a benches clearing brawl. There definitely should've been a warning after the Polanco hit, but that doesn't excuse Robertson.

Lets hope 4 runs is enough for German to work with.

Yes, definitely not a smart move by Nate. I guess if the Placido beaning looked intentional you have to look out for your teammate, but do it in a smart manner.

Tigers up 5-0 after 3 innings...Franklyn German has done well in his unexpected appearance today. The Rays just took Kazmir out.

good game overall. monroe played great, with the homer and 5 RBI. german got the win. hopefully we can get the next 2 as well and go .500 into the break.
p.s. pudge is in the home run derby. lets go pudge!

The problem with the Tigers playing the Rays is that here in Florida I'm blacked out on MLB.tv

And, it just happens to be that the apartment I'm at tonight doesn't have cable, thus I had to watch the MLB gameday tracker. Not cool. Definitely going to watch the replay when it comes up.
